We are powerless to praise

God, and unless Divinity

Enters into our hearts to raise

The station of our awareness

We proceed through life in darkness.

What we hear, see, feel, sense and think

Are an array of veils that hide

Presence in plain sight while we drink

In the many and pretend we

Understand what it is to be.

When the heart loves Divinity

It realizes its nature;

Souls discover serenity

through longing for their Origin …

Everything has its discipline

Creation is an outwardly

Visible expression of Truth

While Truth is the reality

Of unseen Essence, and the two

Are really One in all they do.

The Beloved is quite colorless

So do not become immersed in

The bright hues of your life unless

You realize that everything

Is dyed through actions of Being.

Annihilation of the soul

Arrives when consciousness is lost

To the overpowering pull

Of the Divine supremacy

That dominates all that we see.

When even awareness of this

state absents itself from a slave’s

station, what is left is the Bliss

of non-being … a condition

of light that’s distinct from the Sun.

God’s majesty is beautiful;

Divine beauty is majestic;

Created things give bountiful

Expression to both categories

Of such qualities perfectly.

We are atoms who have believed

We’ve been separated from the

Whole, but don’t become deceived

By the many; just meditate

On truth, and God may change your state.

The universe appears through the

Breath of Divinity and then

Like waves ebbing back to the sea

Is lost in unity … Thus, Breath

Goes through cycles of birth and death.
